It's summer - time for rosé wine

I don't know what it is about the sunshine and my craving for a lovely glass of rosé... I spend many summers on the Cote D'Azur where there are a multitude of rosé wines - particularly because you are in what is argued to be the land of rosé wine making - the Côtes de Provence (or CDP as it's affectionately known). There are many superb rosé - below are my top six (this week!):

1. Chateau Sainte Marguerite: a very light, soft, extremely easy to drink organic rosé: http://www.chateausaintemarguerite.com/les-vins

2. Leoube Secret - a lovely, organic rose with 20% Cabernet Sauvignon interestingly: http://www.chateauleoube.com/en/wines-of-provence/secret-de-leoube/

3. Domaine Ott rosé - Chateau-Selle - slightly more full bodied than the two above, but only just. Great with lunch: http://www.domaines-ott.com/en/the-wines/chateau-selle/rose

4. Minuty - M-rosé - easy to drink, soft wine in a bottle that shouts summer time! http://www.minuty.com/en/taste/branded-wines/m-de-minuty-en/m-rose.

5. Domaine de la Navarre rosé - smooth, little bit of body and fresh acidity: http://www.marksandspencer.com/domaine-de-la-navarre-cotes-de-provence-ros-case-of-6/p/p60038159

6. Whispering Angel, Côtes de Provence - as Forbes magazine said: Pale and dry with intense minerality. A lovely wine: http://esclans.com/whispering-angel/

Let me know which one's your favourite #liquidcakewine @liquid_cake.

Enjoy! x
